No way I could keep up with all the expectations of others.
There were so many appointments in my work agenda and in my private agenda, that I knew on monday that I couldn't do what needed to be done.
Take for instance the mistake of the new secretary, who planned an appointment from 10 to 11 at one location and from 11 to 12 at another location, meaning: at the other side of town. That usually takes about half an hour to go from one location to the other, so it's only logic to think it can't be done in one or two minutes.

About 10 years ago we were ready for a vacation of 14 days.
My parents had booked bus and hotel, trips at the foreign location and a friend who had to water our plants and keep a watch on the house.
I was not very happy with the trip, but I adjusted my opinion and agreed to go with them.
The day before I got a nasty fever.
Within a few hours...
It meant a lot of preparing to have a secret shopping trip with the children of a friend.
They're celebrating their anniversary soon and I wanted to create a real surprise.
So first we talked to the children and asked if they would be willing to create a huge surprise for the anniversary and if they were able to keep it a secret.
Then we had to find a way to have the children, so I could take them shopping.

I think one without the other is a lonely experience.
To be loved and not to love back gives a very uneasy feeling.

When in April a series of horrible earthquakes shook Nepal and a large area around Katmandu more than 8.000 people died, and more than 21.000 people got injured.
The damage was tremendous, ranging from minor damage to houses, to complete demolition of houses and large buildings, like tempels.
In the mountains villages couldn't be reached, which meant that food and medical help couldn't get to the people who needed it and many had to live without any shelter.
Ofcourse I'd seen the TV programs and countless photo's of friends who live in the area.

More than a million kilo's of salt were used to make some roads in the country accessible for traffic. Ice rains were so bad that no busses and no trains could ride. Schools, courts and many factories were closed.

This year I was trying to find a nice bird to put on a christmas present for a friend.
